When it comes to poker strategy, there are some genaral rules you need to understand regardless of which poker game you are playing.
The biggest mistake poker players make is playing to many hands
There's an even chance that you won't better your opening hand
If you have got nothing in your hand fold
Don't play cash poor: your bankroll should be 40-50 times the table limit
If you have got a sure bet hand make sure others pay to see it.
If they've got you beat don't fool around fold
The more players at a table the higher the chance that one or more players has a pair. If you don't have a high pair or better, or four cards to a flush or a straight fold.
The better your openers, the better your chances of improving your hand.
